I'm interested in buying either a 450R or the YFZ450. I'm basically here to get some feedback from those of u who own a yfz450 or have had dealings with them. I'm asking if there are any issues with the yfz450 that anyone has had, or anything that might prove a use in deciding which to buy. Any info about the 450R would be cool too.

You'll get a lot more info if you do some searches. Look for yfz vs 450r or something similar...

It just depends on what you plan on doing with it... If you want that arm jerking power, go w/ the yfz... a smoother acceleration... go with the 450r... This question has been asked and answered too many times to post all of the pros and cons of both... you'll definitely do better w/ the search...

 

New or used? In stock form, the YFZ has a bit more edge to it. They also tend to handle a bit better and have a better setup for the rear shock. The Honda is generally more comfy and has a much better feeling thumb throttle. Neither one really has any major problems, both are great quads that are capable of competitive HP. Since they were the first and have been out the longest, aftermarket support is readily available. You can change some of the smaller quirks easily with aftermarket solutions. My YFZ has been pretty reliable, I really can't fault it as the few small problems I have had have been either an easy fix or operator error.

no way the honda much better my bro has a yfz 2004 already had to rebuild ,go honda ,better motor ,single cam better for reliability. honda known for the reliability.
