Anyone who has owned a Blue Yamaha has seen the stretched plastic that turns white, and I'm sure it does with other colors too. My question is, does anyone know of a way to get rid of it, or at least get it a little bit back to the way it looked?? I have a small spot on the back right fender on my Raptor. Any help would be appreciated. THANKS

My father-in-law had the same problem and someone on the forum suggested a heat gun. It sounded crazy buy it actually worked. Make sure the plastic does not get too hot though cause it will melt. The white goes away long before it will start to melt so as long as you are paying attention it shouldn't be a problem.

if you use a good hot hair dryer it should work may take longer thought, it will haze up to a white color then turn dark blue, keep it moving around and it will fade it out, its still slightly noticable, i flipped my wolverine when it was 2 days old and i fixed it, the problem tends to occur more in cold weather when the plastic is colder. if the hairdryer dosent work you can get a heat gun at most home improvement stores and others liek Meijer and Wal-Mart, and Sears would surely have one! there a good investment with blue plastic.

So if you just apply heat to the blue plastic, it will eventually turn blue again? Really?

I was given the same advise. I rolled my raptor bending the fearings. They poped straight back, no damage, but I now have a white line on both rear fearings. I havent tried the fix as yet, as I dont have a heat gun. Guess i'll give the hair dryer a go.
