We're a proud new owner of a 2007 Wolverine 450 Special Edition, black and red. The thing is a blast...will go thru anything and everything I've put in front of it so far.
After 82 miles, I'm loving this ride. Only wished they offered it in a 600-700cc model. That would kick butt!

I was deciding between the Wolverine 450 4x4 and teh Griz 450 IRS the other day. Sine it was going to be the wife's new ride, I let her choose. She preferred the Griz IRS. Says she felt more comfortable with it.. and one other thing, it had Diff lock in teh front. Which the Wolvie does not. I am wondering if you have had any issues without it.

I am stuck now with trying to decide if I want one for myself, or just go ahead and get the 700 Griz with power steering and FI. That is one nice ride. I have been totally against IRS since they came out, but I have to tell you, the 450 is sweet, and the 700 Griz with the power steering was even better.

Now I have my trusty Rubicon in the shed, and don't really NEED a new machine... but wow, that is one NICE ride. And that is saying something coming from me... There are few rides that I would give up the Rubi' for.

Sorry, back to the wolvie 450. I had actually gone to teh dealer with the intention to buy one... I sure hope Mrs DB didn't make a major mistake...

The wolverine is nice, but there is a lot of people who have said they would like a locking diff for it.

I was kinda like you draggin, I never have liked IRS because I always feel really tippy on one, but with the SRA I can slide it without any problem and dont feel like im gonna flip over(until I do)

You can't even compare a 700 Grizz and a Wolvy. I already have a Honda Rincon 650, so I was looking for something completely different, which is exactly what I got in the Wolvy. The large, more comfy, Rincon is a sweet ride with lots of power. The Wolvy feels like a toy when I go from one to the other, but that's what I was looking for. The solid rear axle is a tad rougher of a ride, with IRS being much comfier. I've had no problems with either. In the last month, I've put 100 miles on both of them. It's nice to ride one, go put it up, and get the other out.
I almost bought the 450 Grizz...went to the dealer twice to buy it and had some issues I was trying to get the dealer to budge on. Finally, I thought to myself, why do I want 2 utes? Why not get one that is still 4X4 but with a sport edge.
The Wolvy is a great little ride, but if you're looking at getting something like a 700 Grizz, the Wolvy can quite possibly be too small and lacking power when compared to the BIG BORE units.
After 100 miles on my Wolvy, I'm ready to get more power out of it. Put a 600cc motor on this baby, and I wouldn't need anything else.

I agree with you 07wolverine05rincon. I would have liked the wolvy to have more power but when the manufacturer doesnt offer it you have to build it.
