What do you mean by bore, but not the size of a big bore?
Do you mean as if you had a scared cylinder and then had it redone? This would not increase the power any, because the size increase is very small. A bigger piston is not even nesasary, just bigger rings.
If you bore it out enough to require a bigger piston, then yes, you'll notice more power.
