just reading through past posts - many have blocked off the oil injection - other than being able to adjust your own pre-mix has anyone had any problem with their oil injection failing ?

No, dont block it off, unless you are racing or modding the heck out of it why mess with it? I had an 89 with the oil inj always hooked up and that thing had a rough life, still on stock bore..

alot of racers block it off. Never heard of one failing, but who knows. It could happen i guess.

Better safe than sorry. If you mix, you know the oil is in there. Otherwise, you have no way of knowing if the injector fails until it's too late. I had one for five years with no problems. I always tried to pay attention to whether or not it was smoking. It eventually burned a hole in the piston. When I had it rebuilt, we went ahead and blocked off the injector. No problems since.
