which if it was cdi rev limited at 53 you would not be able to get it to 60 at all even after the clutch work. It is just the limit of the stock clutch and gearing to get about 54 mph.

The motor is still spinning the same top RPM as before, the clutch work just lets the belt come up a little further increasing the speed of the rear tires. At least thats how I understood their explanation.

exactly right MIwolvy that is the whole point of the clutch work to effectivly change gearing.

Oh I think I discovered yesterday that this thing IS rev limited at about 53 on the stock clutch...I tested it with the throttle adjusted and hit 53 fairly easily then it stalled and picked back up at about 50 then stalled out again at 53. I also pulled the spark arrestor out to see if I could gain anything from that but it actually killed my top end a little. I did get much better low end grunt but I couldn't pull over 51 and it had to wind out to get there. With the arrestor out I could just yank up and do a wheelie without stalling it up. I like it much better with it in though. I think the Hauck clutch work is going to be the first mod I do to mine since it seems to be strong stock. After that I might do a filter setup, pipe, jetting and hopefully they'll have a CDI box out for this thing.
