proabably so, i don't doubt it.... but really whats your point, get back to the topic, which would be a better bike for the guy in question, it all depends on his riding skills, and intentions.... so what if you'd only fouled one plug since before i was born???????

How many plugs have you fouled in the same amount of time?

Or maybe you dont ride much?

or maybe your the liar?

If the guy is a rookie he should get the TTR.

If he has a bit of experience and thinks he might want to go fast he should get the YZ.

Guess we agree on that.

you called me the liar!!!!!!!

Couldn't count the number of plugs I've fouled, but I ussually change mine out after every ride.... As far as riding I go on atleast 3 riding trips a year.... if not more, plus if the weathers nice I will go out on saturdays and ride at least once or twice a month, check out my page theres a link to hwy 89 raceway(I think) but have only been back once since my riding buddy broke both his wrist.... and we just got back from a 3 day trip 2 weekends ago, so yeah i get to ride, not as much as I would like too.... oh yeah during deer season, I proabably put about 1000 mles on my old beat up big bear.... chasing dog's.....

I checked out your pic page...nice looking riding areas and good friends make for a great time. Like you I would always like to ride more...back in my heyday. Rode mx from age 18 to 22, probably only rode 500 miles a year then. Got hurt real bad at a mx race in so cal. when I could walk straight started riding enduros. 12 a year at 100 miles each, plus I pre rode a lot of the areas the week before so easily rode 2500 to 3000 miles a year. I changed a plug every 2 year's just to be safe. did that for about 9 years. For the next 18 (till about now)I probably rode around 500 miles a year but some of those years had the YZ80, WR250 and CR250 riding as lot too. The WR still gets ridden about 500 miles a year but the CR250 only gets about 100 miles a year now. The CR 500 is about the same. Those 3 bikes spark plugs are at least 7-10 yrs old. CR250 might even be older. I dont really sweat it because the plugs dont foul and if one does I alwaysd carry a spare. I figure carrying the spare plug almost insures a plug wont foul. At 48 my KTM is my favorite for riding off road, had it for about 4 yrs now. I got it because of its e-start button(my knee is not good from kicking a CR500 for a couple of decades) love it for how versatile it is. It can grunt around like a XR400, or rip along over 100 mph if I feel the need.

Sorry for rambling.......but you can get a 2 stroke to run well and not foul plugs. I can help you with jetting if you like. You could start by opening your air screw 1/2 a turn.
