would a grizzly 450 front diff fit on a 06 wolverine
#13
Most people I know that have a locker (myself included) have rarely if ever used it.
It sounds to me it would cost too much money and tinkering around..but then again I don't have a wolvie so wtf do i know?

Thats awesome that detroit gearless has a locker that will work for the wolverine! I 'd like to install one in my wolvy. Are they difficult to install? Do you still have the option of having it in 2 or 4 wheel drive?

Would the locker still allow you to shift on the fly from 2WD/4WD? What kind of additional steering effort will be encountered? I mean going from 2wd to 4wd limited diff shouldn't be as hard as going from 2wd to 4wd locked. It seems if you had any speed it would almost feel like the bars locked up, unless it was something like the Polaris setup.
It just doesn't make sense that they would have an identical motor but use a different output shaft. I wonder if you could have gorilla axles or somebody make a shaft that had the seperate ends. Would something like this work?

the locker would still allow you to shift on the fly from 2-4wd. The only time the locking diff would come into play is when it is locked(correct me if I am wrong on this.) It will be harder to steer when the locker is kicked in but that is the only time it will make much of a difference.
