would a grizzly 450 front diff fit on a 06 wolverine

I was wondering if anyone knows if the front differential off a grizzly 450 would fit on a wolverine 450 so then you could have the 4x4 differential lock on the wolverine?

idk if it would fit......but u wouldn't get diff lock out a front differential and you would have to rig up a switch and u would need a rear differential......i'msure it could be done but i'm sure it would cost almost as much as a grizzly 700 lol

Mack's right... too much F@#kin' around... and besides if it could have been done don't you think ctateusa1 would have done it?
When it comes to keeping Wolverines at one in their habitat ctate is like freakin' Marty Stoufer, Wild America.

lol
thanks for the props gi.
I have looked into the diff lock. I want something that would either just bolt in or tear apart the diff and replace. But I am afraid that the front to rear gear ratio would be different, That would be my main concern and I have drove a truck with different ratio's front to back and it causes more problems than it is worth to mess with and plus I hate having to try and figure out the shimming and all that cr@p.

The diff ratios are the same between the 2 diffs. The problem is that you have to swap out the main shaft in the engine so that you can bolt a yoke to the front output because the grizz uses a automotive type driveshaft were the wolverine uses just a straight shaft. You would also have the problem with actuating the diff to engage 4wd and 4wd lock.

your definition of trouble and mine must be very different. A simplier option would be to just get a detroit gearless. From what I have read they do not increase steering effort and are not noticeable when in 2wd.

They do not list the wolverine but LCKHLDET-3 is the part number for the one that will fit. The 2000-2003 kodiak use the same front differental as the 2006- Wolverine 450. I have verified that they are the same many times.
