Grizzly 350 or 400
#1
Looking at picking up either a 350 or 400 for the wife. Yamaha has some great interest rates till 2/29.
Any info on either model would be helpful. Any problems with either model, disadvantages or advantages of either.
Thanks
Presently own a honda 420, and really love it, however looking for a auto tranny for her and have been a yamie fan owning several snowmobiles and still riding yamie snowmobiles today. Bought the honda for price and EFI.

they are pretty much the same you just have to decide between air cooled or liquid cooled. neither have low range or locking front diff. You can get the 350 in a 2wd with solid axle or 4wd with either a solid or IFS were the 400 is just IFS. I know the grizzly 450 is not on you list but with it you get a locking front diff and low range.

The 350 has IRS she will like that. I had the 350 Bigbear Exact same 348cc motor which has been around since the 1980s and it had 10,000 miles on it at least and never gave me a problem. The 401cc is a step up in power and speed though.

Your wife will probably like (like mine does) an IRS over a solid axle. They also usually like auto's over shifting if your doing any long rough terrain rides.
As far as power is concerned, 350, 400 or 450 will all suffice. Diff lock is nice in the really gooey stuff.
