I think the key to jumping my Raptor is throttle control. I rarely have to use the rear brake. On most jumps, keeping the gas steady will keep it level. If it is more than a 2'drop, letting off the gas puts me down nose first. I usually raise my butt off the seat when approaching, but I only stand on the steep/square jumps. The engine responds quick, but not as quick as a 250. I also would bet that the nose comes up more than a 250, when it gets spun up, but that is a guess.

I haven't had any of the wheelie problems, even on hillclimbes, that some people have described. I usually ride on sand. I am always very dilligetnt with my right thumb. Of course, being 6'1" and 210lbs may help too...

You should come down to Little Sahara in Utah. I liked St Anthonys but no bowls and hard to find good jumps. It is worth going to check it out though. Sand Mtn is the longest highest pile of sand in the country. If you're into hill shootin, I'm Not, makes Choke Cherry look like a speed bump. Choke cherry is much steeper but the left side of Sand Mtn is almost as steep. The main hill is about 35degrees 600ft high 1200ft long. Bowls bowls and more bowls. Why wait for the snow to melt up there. Go to planetsand.com for info. Little Sahara is in the desert so it doen't snow that much. It is by Delta Utah. It is layed out just like St Anthonys, smaller dunes on the north side and get bigger as you go south. 60,00acres!

ok so if the front dives goose it and if the front goes to high tap the rear..sounds good thanks my man!!
hey did anyone see the new dirtwheels yet? It has the track i go to in it and shows the nice tabletop i love to hit. Its in chatsworth NJ. Pinebarrens. The only thing about the table top is that you can actually overshoot it and bottom out on the flat spot right before a big berm. I like to hit it and get good height rather distance. There are some high speed jumps as well. Its a cool track. Anyone else ride there?

NO my buddy has a 400 ex is your bike missing one headlight? And does it have Renthal bars? Also if it's you you let me ride your bike to try out all the different thing's you did to it. White Bros. pipe smaller sprocket new tire's. If it's you damn it's a small world. I was telling you I was thinking about getting the Yamaha carbon fiber pipe. Then we drag raced along the dirt road against another modified Raptor. Ring any bells?
