no, hotcams are a good MODERATE cam, and for alot of aplications the Webcam is too much for the application they are biegn put in, however they may be great cames, seem to be right for there application, as a race cam...... Anytime you build a motor you have to put everything into perspective. Unless you are building a full fledge race motor then I say go with the web cam, but your not, nore is Mechincock, who orgionally asked about rebuilding his bike... I siad from the very beginning that people were going to say trash the Hotcam and buy a webcam, but for his application, he'd be wasting his money, escpicially since he'd be burning more gas, becuase of the amount of cam in the bike, way to big for his application, or mine for that matter. and proabably for yours also, unless your running a real big bore kit with a stroker crank, dumb in a warrior if you ask me, well maybe for dragracing, but definately not for trial riding.....

WEBCAMS are betterthan hotcams for the price, but unless your going to build the rest of the bike to match your gonna LOOSE power unless you do the rest.....

Webcams Warrior camshaft
.390/.390 274°/274° 244°/244° 88 Improves overall power. Requires valve spring kit. Includes new OEM bolt, washer and pin.

Accessories Required:
VC-Y25 / Valve Spring Kit With Aluminum Retainers
VC-Y30 / Valve Spring Kit With Titanium Retainers N/A
80-161
$117.00 N/A

This would be a better cam then the .430/.430, however you are getting a used cam that has been reground, the reason they require a core so hopefully it dosen't have to much wear on it, i've never seen a cam break in a bike, have a car, but would hate to get a weak one and have it break, but jmo

Ok. I don't even know where to start. Lots of mis information here by pmcc37.
Let me point out a couple facts here for you. Kibblewhite and RD both make Heavy duty valve springs, both with titanium tops or aluminum. The come with new buckets and retainers obviously. No machining or anything required. If you're using a longer valve spring for more tension then you either been sold the wrong spring or trying to do it the back yard hick way.. These springs have higher tension because of they way that there made and the metal that is used.
Also putting a bigger cam is does not make the engine hard to start as the bigger the cam the more compression it will bleed off.
What makes an engine harder to start is more displacement and more compression.
Wiesco to the JE is weight and more compression, also a better combustion chamber design. This is what you pay for, but remember it's a small engine so the performance gain will be small but they all add up in the end.
Hotcams cams are the biggest joke around for the warriors. If you have to use stock valve springs when they already are weak for a performance cam, that should tell you right there and I shouldn't even have to explain to you why these will not perform like WEB or Megacycle which both make a all around camshaft and mid to top end cam that kicks the pants off of anything Hotcam produces for the warrior.
You should also know that the warriors head flows a great amount of air stock. I have numbers to back it up as well if you want.
If there is anything else you need correction on I'll be glad to help out. I'm stick and tired of coming to message boards and people like you spreading so much mis information.. If you don't know don't talk because its a big waste of peoples time and money.

I should point out as well that WEB and Megacycle weld and put a hardface on there cams as PMC doesn't seem to understand how this works either.. . since these companys weld to the lobe of the camshaft (as long as the bearing points are good) it doesn't matter how much there worn. Fact is though that most of the time you'll never see that part of the camshaft worn unless you've had some oiling problems.. then you can consider the cam junk. <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.webcamshafts.com/

BTW: Megacycle also sells Billet cams.

good posts beefy and raptor 450.

You can use either stage one or two. Both a crap. Basically hotrods give the stage two a little more duration and different lobe seperation to better match up to there stroker crank. Still though there are much better performing options out there by far. One thing I don't understand is the fact that people would spend the money on a stroker and the buy cheaper pos cam.

PMC, when you do a stroker on a warrior it adds stroke, hence the name. When you add stroke to an engine it makes it more torque and broader power band. So basically it adds a truck load of torque to the bottom end and perfect for trail riding..
