How come you hardly ever see Warriors being raced as compared to 400ex's? My family used to have a Warrior back in '91 and it was a nice machine. Powerful, fast and when you look it is only about 25 lbs heavier than the 400ex. Why isn't it more popular for racing?

It feels awkward compared to other sport bikes. The frame geometry isn't up to snuff either. That's a shame, though, because it'll get on down the road pretty good.

It's a 14 year old design, nowadays. I wish Yamaha would refit some of their sport models instead of dumping all of their money into 20 different models of 4x4s and ONE new sport quad.

if somone would take the money you can make any quad perform as well as the pros...it just how much your williing to spend. Aarms, swingarm, axle, suspension, cam, high comp piston, carb, port, 3 angle valve job. i suppose that is what you could do without big bore kits. it would put you WAY ahead of a stock 400ex and prob any other high proformane machine. But thatis very expensive.
