If your planning on getting the "Pro design" cool head i would look for a different Brand. I didn't have good luck with mine. (waste of money) I replaced it with Trinitys "cool head". They also have nicer domes and they don't use those cheap RUBBER O rings.

I was looking at the Noss cool head because you dont have to replace the studs do you have to replace the studs with the trinity cool head?

I had Trinity build my whole motor and the head was already on when i received it, but it use's acorn style nuts to hold it on and go down into head. They removed the longer studs that the pro design used and replaced them with ? (unknown)

Well, I found my problem. when I took my head off I found little marks on the right side like there was something inside the cylinder. I took the jugs off and the inside waall of the smoking side had scratches in it and the piston wasnt missing any pieces I couldnt figure out where the scratches came from. when I looked down where the crank was I could see tranny oil. Well, I ended up splitting the case and low and behold the crank bearing (on the right side) was in about 20 pieces. Im taking my crank in to get trued and welded and bearings replaced. not to mention that I have to bore and hone my cylinders, mill and redome my head and then I should be back in business. I would like to thank everyone for there input. it was much appreciated.
thanks
