Default buy a warrior?

The Warrior may not be the highest performance quad or anything, but it will probably outlast any quad, they are tanks, they just won't die, lol. But seriously stock a Warrior will top out a around 58-62 MPH depending on weight, but you can always put some stuff into it. One thing is they come with A LOT of torque, so they are mad nice for slightly slower paced trails, it's really quick and powerful through the first 4 gears, then it gets slower when trying to go top speed. There suspension isn't all that great, but you can alwaus buy a new one, but the Warrior with a stock suspension will not handle really big jumps, but it can take average jumps pretty well, people say if you know the suspension you can hit really nice jumps with it, they also say if it has a landing ramp it's also easier to land bigger jumps, so maybe the suspension is a little under rated. That's basically all I can tell you about the Warrior, I don't know anything about those Polaris' so I'm sorry I can't give you an opinion about those, but I do really like my Warrior.

Default buy a warrior?

alright guys, I bought thw warrior. rode it a little around the guys yard and rode it some at my shop. its a beast! I'm pretty impressed with it. it does need some things here and there though. I will be going through it this weekend. full lube job, repack bearings and oil up the chain and tighten it. which leads to some questions. how do you tighten up the chain? it has a pipe on it but the guy didn't rejet it. I will be buying a good filter for it this weekend also. what size jets should I get for it? is there a fuel filter on it? what type of oil should I use? yamalube? what weight? I know nothing about it so please teach me all there is to know

I use Shell Rotella Synthetic. I used it in my Dodge ram that had oil pressure problems for a while. It stays thick nomatter how hot it gets. Seems liek a good quality to have in a air cooled motor.

Around a 150-152 main is typically sufficient.

On my Warrior with the mods listed in my page (click the cam) I am running a 150 main with the clip in the 4th position; and it is still a bit rich.
