e series with big gun header
#1
i saw that raptor1 was running the e series with the big gun head pipe. i was woundering how the two pipes matched up. or if anyone else is running another head pipe with the e series. when i contacted big gun last week the said they thought it would work. but not sound to confident.

The old style big gun was only jetcoated on the outside allowing the finish to look terrible. The new ones they have out now are coated inside and out both. This should last quite awhile longer. As far as running the white bros with the biggun header it does work. The biggun header is the exact same diameter as the slip on tubing though. I took the connection elbow up to the local muffler shop and had them expand it 1/16th of an inch. That is all that is needed! They did not even charge me to do it.
I am running that pipe combo with 160/165 mains and 27.5 pilots jets with white bros hi-flow filter with 2 one inch air vents in the lid. At 40 degrees out here its is dialed in perfect. I do plan to modify the air baffle but not until its hotter out here and the bike becomes a little richer.
