e series with big gun header

i saw that raptor1 was running the e series with the big gun head pipe. i was woundering how the two pipes matched up. or if anyone else is running another head pipe with the e series. when i contacted big gun last week the said they thought it would work. but not sound to confident.

I'm running the r4 with a fmf power bomb header
that thing is nice its stainless steel
my big gun on my 400ex I didn't like because
the finish went to crap

what is the difference in the powerbomb headers and the high flow headers. i all got from reading fmf website was the powerbomb was quiter.

The old style big gun was only jetcoated on the outside allowing the finish to look terrible. The new ones they have out now are coated inside and out both. This should last quite awhile longer. As far as running the white bros with the biggun header it does work. The biggun header is the exact same diameter as the slip on tubing though. I took the connection elbow up to the local muffler shop and had them expand it 1/16th of an inch. That is all that is needed! They did not even charge me to do it.
I am running that pipe combo with 160/165 mains and 27.5 pilots jets with white bros hi-flow filter with 2 one inch air vents in the lid. At 40 degrees out here its is dialed in perfect. I do plan to modify the air baffle but not until its hotter out here and the bike becomes a little richer.

The guy at fmf told me the power bomb made more
hp's and it is a little more quiet I got it from
rocky mt. 170.00 its a very nice setup I to had to go to the muff shop and expand the slip on end of
the r4

when you guy put on your aftermarket head pipes did you still use the the stock gaskets or does the companies provide one. just woundering because if i change again i would like to put a new one on my stock one is getting a little worn down from getting it out of my stock exaust and my yamaha dealer said just about everything comming from yamaha for the raptor is on back order

I put new header pipe gaskets on mine I got them
in two days the old ones looked ok but I don't
like exhaust leaks you don't get them with the
header Dude thats a sweet set up!!!!!
