I don't know alot about the raptor 700 but know a little about the raptor 250 and 350. The 700 would be the best but it is so expensive. Another thing is that you said you were kind of new. If thats the case.... go for the 250 for $5,000 less. It's got 5 speed wet clutch. The reason again I don't say the 300 is b/c it is not as fast. The only atvantage with the 300 is the Reverse and the 4X4. Besdies i heard from another fourm that it is also slower. I know the 700 would be awsome but do you want to honestly want to pay around $9,000 . The raptor 250 is only $3,999.
I don't know b/c it is up to you but if it were me.... i would go with a yamaha. I have had yamaha's all my life and they never broke. It is up to your decision but i say go with a yamaha.</end quote></div>
umm, are you talking about getting a KTM 450/525?....9000 is way too much for a brand new rappy 700

Do not get a Raptor 250 or 350. The 250 is too small and the 350 is based on the Warrior; which has an outdated suspension etc etc. Go with the 700, hands down, no questions asked; as long as you are into trail riding. If you were doing straight up tracks/mx all the time I would say the YFZ450, but they aren't near as good as a 700 on trails.
