I would lean towards re-jetting as well. I bought my quad used and it had a GYTR pipe on it and the guy never jetted it. After I installed my K&N and jet kit for that it seemed to help out a good bit.

Motors run at their best just a SHADE lean, but too lean and it'll get hot and blow up. Typically you run just a little on the rich side so you are not pushing the envelope with your jetting. I'd say rejet it and you will notice a world of difference.

Per K&N don't use their recharge kit on a foam filter. It may be restricting air flow at high speeds.

Its not a foam filter, but it looks like I may have to re-jet it. I have never done that but the jet kits are carb specific not really make and model of the actual quad correct?

I'd go with the Dial-A-Jet if it were me. I just installed one on my Wolverine and it's worth the little extra over the price of a jet kit. If you add other upgrades or ride in different altitudes it you can tune it without going into the carb. It gives really snappy low end responce as well...
