its right behind the big cover next to the one over the oil filter cover. its just a few bolts and disconnecting some wires. just pay attention on how you take the old one out and put the new one in the same way.

Since your going to replace the stator go to rickystator and get one from him, the are about the same as a factory and much better. Very easy to replace.
One way to check your stator. Will your lights work if you pull the fuse going to your battary and pull start it? If not our stator is bad.

i had 04' warrior do the same thing! i put a new stator in it and about a month later everything jus quit. i messed with it until i was over it but yeah its the stator. i paid $130 for one but don't remember who from
