You mean when you let out the clutch it idles down then pull the clutch again and it's still ok? If so I have one doing the same thing. Pretty sure it's a air leak.

I have two of them and I found that the cable on the older one was not adjusted and tightened in place as it should have been. Check the cable at the throttle assembly and make sure it's good.

Both of mine have the TORS still working on them. Although gsportgoat has a good point I hardly think the actual electronics would be a problem, but I can imagine a bad switch at one location or another. I bypassed the switch in the throttle lever assembly on the 89 to troubleshoot and it caused that high RPM symptom. I fixed it proper and have no issue at all now. Eventually I will be bypassing the TORS so I can run a different type of Kill Switch. I like the Tether type switches and think they would be preferable to the electronic TORS system. I also think the Racing circuits all REQUIRE a tether type kill switch to compete.

I might be wrong about the "all" part, but If they require it for safety, I can't imagine anything better.

Default Blaster Problems!!! Need Help!!

Blasters had problems with the cylinder base gasket blowing out by the transfer ports and causing an air leak- usually it is visible by just looking at it- it will cause symptoms from a very high idle to runaway engine speed in nuetral- Its easy to fix by just replacing the base gasket .
