ah. i know what your talkin bout. got a truck buried to the doors like that one time, just turning around. 12 hours later 2 trucks n a tractor an we were free. plus a $200 cleaning bill to clean my dads truck out. in those situations winches dont work, you have to be pulling from multiple angles.

what would be cool is if u bought like 6 winches and put one on each fender and one on front and back u would never get stuck cuz u could pull from all sides but it would be alot of wireing to go through lol

i agree. maybe if you get 4 2500 lb winches, you could put a car battery on the back rack and everthing would be find and dandy, plus you could pull yourself up a cliff. May have to try it...

Update the 4000 series winch wieghts a whole 3 pounds more than a 3000 lb serries 19- 21 lbs so no cylander block on the front of your bike. Found it in the new cabelas auto/atv catalog i just got in the mail....

So Heres my opinion buy the warn RT 4000 series winch and don't worry about getting stuck and play where ever you want.

My $0.02

Get the 2500-lb or the 3000-lb winch.... head over to Northern tools and get a couple of pulley blocks for $14 each and be done with it... I would think that 4000 pounder is heavier for sure. I see lots of people when out on the trail just using the winch straight up... its "OK" I guess.. But my winch is apart now to clean/regrease and it has seen quite a bit of winching this past year.. and everything looks REALLY Good inside! Thanks Warn!

only 3 lbs, I can take a crap and loose that much....

But on the other hand its proabably not worth the money.
