I'm just wonderin about how a banshee works in the snow, because my 300ex works fine in a foot or so. but what about the shee?

my banshee is a 98, with toomey t5's and holeshots. on flat ground, the snow is a blast...on hills, or in the woods, my friend on a polaris 250 ran circles around me. i couldnt hook up for traction to save my life. the problem is similar to sports cars in bad weather...too much power that comes on too fast to get traction. i just dont ride much in the winter here in missouri, but i lead the pack the rest of the year. small compromise for grinning all the rest of the year.

have fun...ride fast, ride safe.

It's not fun for me to ride the Banshee in the snow unless I am on a packed down surface. Anything over about 4 inches and forget about traction. If you can stay up in the revs they go OK..But it's not worth burning up a motor to spin around in the snow.
Thats my opinion...I park the banshee for most of the winter. Unless I'm just tooling around the yard.

Unless the snow is not deep enough to reach the skids or unless you are riding on well packed snowmobile trails, spend the time giving it the cleaning and maintenance it needs cause you won't be doing anything else but lifting it out of the ruts.

A shee works fine in snow (up to 8" with 22" bearclaws), but isn't really fun until you hit hard pack (then it gets fantastic). An Xplorer was way more fun in 1 foot of fresh powder.

Anybody tried paddles on a Banshee in snow? I was thinking about going to the dunes in COlorado that are covered in snow this weekend, but if its a waste of time, forget it..
