Default LIGHTER THUMB THROTTLE

Thanks Hebs for the constructive input I did find that some people have had the same problem on the new raptors according to raptorfourm.com.Some of the guys are removing the spring inside the throttle and are not having any issuse at all with the throttle working properly.

remove it?? or take it out, bend it a bit and put it back... If they left it out, I wouldn't want to get on the quad...

I am not real sure as I have not taken it apart yet but they said to remove it alltogether.I am kinda scepicale on this so I will work on it this weekend and see what is up.I think I will end up putting on a longer throtttle leaver in the end.

Default LIGHTER THUMB THROTTLE

Just to give you a heads up... I'm currently running an extended thumb throttle on my yfz... It's ok when you're sitting down... but when you're standing up, jumping, bouncing around a lot, it sux.... so much so that I purchased a 400ex throttle assy. to replace it... If you're going to be really active with your raptor... the extended throttle might not be the best option... JMHO....

Thanks for the input I do belive that the yfz and the raptor use the same throttle but I'll need to look at some pt# to verify they are same then I can put on a 400ex throttle assy.Like I said before that is what quad magazine said to do to fix the problem.Let me know if it work on yours.

I know it'll work on the yfz... but I'm not sure if it works on the raptor because the throttle cables are different between the yfz and the raptor...

Try one of these...

A little pricey, but I put one on all of my race quads. It's adjustable, so you can set it to how much tension you like from the spring....
