ALOT OF PEOPLE TALK DOWN THE BANSHEES. EVEN MY BUDDIES WHO ALL RIDE ONE OF THE NEW 450S. THE PROBLEM IS THEY CAN NEVER BEAT ME IN A RACE. I BOUGHT A NEW 06 BANSHEE (MY 4TH NEW BANSHEE I LOVE UM) AND PUT T-6S WITH MILD JETTING AND A TIMING ADVANCE KEY. THE 450S ARE ALL PIPED AND JETTED OR PROGRAMMED WHICH I THINK IS THE SUZUKI. THOUGH ITS PRETTY CLOSE I WIN EVERY TIME. ALL BIKES HAVE STOCK GEARING AND 22 IN TIRES. I ALSO BEAT A COMPAREBLE RAPTOR 660. BACK WHEN THE 400EX CAME OUT THEY NAMED IT THE BANSHEE KILLER. HA HA HA HA! AND EVER SINCE EACH NEW SPORT FOUR STROKE CLAIMS THE SAME BULLSHIT. NOW COMPLETELY STOCK THE BANSHEE IS A TOTAL SLUG AND DOES GET ITS *** KICKED, BUT IN MY SITUATION IS THERE A BIKE COMPARABLY BUILT THAT CAN BEAT ME?

 

banshee's were first built to compete with the 250r's. so the technology isnt to great on it, but their still pretty quick quads even out the factory. i belive that a rappy 700r and the outlaw 525 would outrun you. banshee killer, i belive any of these big quads now days can outrun a stock banshee with ease. banshees are dinosaurs but still have alot of power, a few mods will wake em up.

 

^ no even the 700 rappy cant beat or stomp the banshee, its super close but its the banshee almost everytime, i have an 07 banshee and my bud has a 07 rappy , they were both stock and 22 in the back, i pulled everygear by about a foot, now i have t-5s and filter and he has a HMF and filter+ programer i pull about 1 bike length per gear so i win by about 6 lengths at the end, give or take

 

Agree and Not,

I just bought a near mint 01' Banshee with T5's, timing key, reeds, and boost bottle. I ride with a mix of Utilities and 2 450's and a Raptor 660R. Yes in a straight line I can take them all but when it gets really technical the 450's dominate. Hey this thing came out in 1987 with a motor that was even older. WTF do you really think its better, not chance when you put on the track. I have one, it was a steal, I love it, and I am in love with the two stroke powerband. But when I'm clutching to keep the R's up everybody else just mashes the throttle and there at the top of the hill. Don't get me wrong its a great quad, outdated absolutely. My .02

 

i think the raptor 700 will be a shee mod for mod untill you get to big bores then the shee will get the raptor no problem.

wait untill this this new intake and duals come out.

dasa has developed duals for the 700 that are suppose to have more hp than any other system out. and fci (fuel customs intake) is bring out a new intake that will put out much more hp i whould say 3+ over any other system out now.

i think this combo will produce maybe 58-60 hp with a power commander efi controler.

I just raced a banshee that has close to $5000 into it. when we raced on dirt, i won by about half a quad length. when we raced on the street, i destroyed him. even with that extra gear, it just didnt have the top speed mine has.

 

not trying to be a *** but eather he lied about how much was in that quad or he cant shift it. i own a raptor 700 and if i had a shee with 5k into it you better have a big bore raptor to keep up.

 

stock-for-stock a 700r will beat a banshee. hell the 660r outran the banshee. but with mods its different.

 

oh oh my, 5 grand, do you have any idea what kinda numbers that can get you on a banshee, for starters, 421 cub with 35mm pwk vf3 reeds and k$n pods run about 3grand on a good deal, buy some cpi (500$) and a lockup clutch, 1-5 over-ride tranny (1000$ MAX) your pumping over 100 hp with 5 grand i think you didnt beat him, unless he bought all his parts from a stealership, banshees are slowww stock i agree, but mod for mod and equal rider on both you wont have a chance, buy some pipes filter and get some port work from FAST and your already pushing more hp then a heavily modded 700r can have, i agree on track unless the banshee has a laeger frame or something it would suck, most guys dont know how to ride a banshee now-a-days, some of your need to get to the real world thinking a banshee with equal money into mods would beat a 700r, yes i agree unless the banshee has some kickass tires on it and a -1 swinger it wont hook for **** and would prolly lose, most guys who get beat on banshees either are out modded or out skilled by the other ride, the power output of a banshee is hard to get dialed up for certain terrain which is another big factor, some banshee just plain out are POS. i love 4-stroke i mean they are great and easy to ride and have awesome power, but i ride for a good time and not along time, and the banshee gives me a hell of a time. and is cheaper to fix when i blow it up LOL

i just wish some people who have owned or riden actual banshees that are setup correct or not beat and have the right mods would understand the power the small 350 makes, hell on youtube theres a race of a 16mil cub alky banshee racing a turboed Fing busa powered banshee and it only loses by about 1-2 bike lengths
