Blaster Only sparks sometimes
Rode it for about 5 to 7 hours on saturday ran great. I put it in the shop for the night. The next day I went out It started just fine but ran like crap back fired and sputtered like a fouled plug. Took the plug out and it was sparking bright blue. Put the plug back in and it wouldn't start at all. Took the plug back out and No spark. It will only spark about half the time. I put a new plug Cdi and Coil on and it still is doing the same thing. I took the fly wheel off and the key is in good shape. Some times it will spark 20 to 30 kicks in a row. Then maby 50 with no spark then Start sparking for a few kicks. I have no idea maby the stator is bad but I dont have access to one and I am really tired of buying new parts and not fixing my problem.

i 've never heard of a stator failing with an on/off symtem they usually fade or just die. i'm thinking more like a loose or grounding wire. i say you should trace all wires look for a short and check each connector making sure there plugged. my sons blaster quit 2 months ago and it was the tors which failed. i removed it and it fired right up. not saying this is the same but just showing example of annoying elec. problems . good luck

I'm voting for a bad TORS switch somewhere on this one. Check the two swithces and see if you can find which one is bad. (or which one has a bad wire.)
qsportgoat has a good idea. Bypass it and see if it runs without the safety stuff.
If it does work, buy a 35 dollar tether type switch to replace TORS.
And of course,, as I always ask,.... keep us informed on what works...

Turns out it was the stator after all. Thanks for the help Runs great now</end quote></div>
Bad wire to Stator? Internal Short? Or did you just put a new one on and it works fine now?
Curious to know...
