Default help Removing 2001 kodiak carb

Ok My Quad sat too long. Only runs for few seconds on choke then stalls. Im gathering carb needs cleaning. So I have tank and air cleaner removed. How do I disconnect the choke cable? How do I disconnect the throttle linkage once I have the small plate off the side of the carb? Once carb is removed what do I do?

sounds like it could be a clogged fuel line.Pull the fuel line off at the carb, turn gas on and see if gas flows freely. If you still need to clean carb then you might not have to take carb off.Just loosen clamps up and turn carb sideways so that you can take the bowl off the bottom of the carb.Once you have the bowl off then you will see two little jets that will screw out.Screw them all the way out and see if they are clogged with anything. You might can blow air through them to clean,if that wont clean them then poke a small piece of wire through them.after that clean the bowl out real good and put back together.
