2008 Grizzly 700
Hey Guys, I just brought home my new ride yesterday. I hadnt rode a 700 b4 i bought it but i have driven the 660's a lot. I guess I just thought that it would have a little more snap. I didnt think that the 26's instead of the stock 25's would make that big of a difference. Or does it just take a little while for it to break in? Any info would help. Thanks a lot everyone.

Eric,
we have two Grizzly 700s. One has 27" XTRs and the other has 25" Terracross tires on it. Switching back and forth between the two there is very little difference in perceived power. I don't think you're going to see much of a difference from changing from 26" tires to 25" tires.
Engine break-in will make a difference, and your Grizzly is going to run stronger once it has 400 or so miles on it.
There are other things that can be done to improve responsiveness as well. Perhaps the biggest bang for the buck is obtained by changing to an aftermarket performance sheave and roller weight change in the primary clutch. Fix Power Sports makes a new sheave for the Grizzly that really improves acceleration, and increases top end speed.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I will let ya know what I figure out. I pulled the stock tires off my dad's 06 grizzly 660 and put them on mine. I guess I really couldnt tell much of a difference. I am just going to put some miles on it and see what happens. Thanks for the input.

Thanks DV, I will look into that Fix Powersports and see what I think. For now, I am thinking about just leaving it stock to get it broke in. I maybe should left the stock tires on to break it in but what fun is that, right? haha, thanks again. cya
