Default warrior shift linkage bypass

my foot shifter linkage got snaged and broke today. Has anyone ever eliminated the linkage with a direct bolt on for the warrior off of any other model. Although I highly doubt there is one out there cause of the motor being in the way of a bolt on style and I would need a bigger foot probably.

some people use a YZ250 dirt bike shifter and bend it slightly and say it works perfect as a replacement to get rid of that linkage BS.

I got a shifter for a '00 yz250 on mine. it works great! no modification neccessary. simply take the old one off, along with the linkage and put the new one on. it is close to the side cover but doesn't hit. best $ I spent on mine. it shifts a lot better and I don't hit neutral going from first to second now. as for the length, its only a tad longer than the stock shifter, very easy to get use to.
