hey guys wondering if i made a wise choice, i got a warrior 97 model for $400 bucks the thing looks rough the plastics were painted but chipping off the foot pegs, clutch changer rusted no lights broken front shock warped rear brake rotor needs new sprockets and chain front bumper broke off with the botls broke off in the frame, but other than that the quad runs good fires right up no problems other than it needs a relay that plugs into the back of the starter wire not sure if i just said that right but you know.. i'm just wondering if i made a wise choice i have ordered alot of the parts off of ebay already but i want to get the maier plastics just waiting for some xtra $ let me know what ya think i might snap some pics and post them..

Not bad, but by the time you fix every thing, you may have more money in it than you could have bought a nice one for. Just don't dump too much money into it. And try to find deals on parts - they are very plentiful - that way you can save some more money.

I had a '99 warrior, best trail machine, could climb any hill. It was long in the tooth and needed parts from time to time (ebay), but verses my raptor I think warrior was better on trails! I love raptor power but warrior had better gearing and weight displacement. She was old but she still put out! Good investment I say

Sounds like a better deal than i got on my 97 warrior, I bought mine in 2003 for 400 and he mauled a tree in 6th gear so i had to get a (ebay) frame, new a arms for the right side all the plastic looked good but the front right fender had to be hillbilly modded for it to fit but still looks great i would say you got a great deal

I think you got a decent deal. I look at it this way....if you are like me, your gonna put some aftermarket parts on it anyway. so you end up with stock pieces that are still good but you're not gonna use. I've got a small pile of stock stuff and its only going to get bigger as time goes on. I love my warrior. its a great trail machine and I go just about everywhere my friends go with their 4 wheel drives.

hell ya bra i got mine for 500 and did it up pretty nice...warriors are one of the most reliable, popular, and easiest to get parts for, and easy to work on.

Hard to go wrong for $400 if it runs and the frame is good. Those parts are cheap and easy to come by on Ebay except for the plastic which is easy to come by just not so cheap. If it was me I would just repaint the plastics with some of that plastic paint or some bumper paint. I bet you could have it going with all the parts you listed from Ebay and stay under $600 or easy $700.
