Default Yamaha Grizzly 350

Howdy,
I'm in the market for a quad and a guy has a 2007 Grizzly 350 for $5K with minimal use on it.

My primary use for it would be working (pulling trailer, pulling logs around) our 20 acres and secondarily for fun. I don't know anything Yamaha's so I'm asking those of you with more experience and knowledge if you think its a good deal or should I just buy a new one from the dealer.

Thanks in advance!

Is it a 2wd model or 4wd?, and does it have the Independant rear suspension?
Yamaha engines are pretty reliable, maintenance is key, you should ask if he regularly changed the fluids. Did he ride in alot of water or sand? If you go look at it check for loose balljoints and tie-rod ends by moving the wheels side to side and top to bottom firmly by hand. Just take a good look at the whole ATV and you will notice if it's been ridden hard or not.

There are good things and bad things about buying new from a dealer, it will cost more than a new ATV but just think it will be all new, no suprises like a used one could give you.

I'd have to say 5k is a bit overpriced depending on where your located. You can find some really good deals on brand new 07s right now. You could probably pick up a brand new 08' 400 for about 5k if your in the US. $5-600 more for an 07' 450.

Check out atvtraderonline.com for deals in your area. Should give a good start on price ranges.

I sold this 06 Bruin 350 (same as 07 Grizzly 350) for $3200 w/ a Full set of yamaha skid plates, ITP Mudlite XL's on delta steel wheels , venom 2500# winch, rear bag, stock tires on stock rims. So yes. I would say 5k is a bit too much. You can get a 08 450 around here for about 5300 OTD (not including sales tax)
