I just rebuilt the carb, it hasn't run in about two years.
I hooked up the charger, and it turned over no problem. I sprayed a little starting fluid in the carb, and now it clicks once or twice and nothing. It is dead.

WHY? ANY SUGGESTIONS?

You say it clicks now after you charged it, seems like the battery wont hold a charge. Can you boost the battery and turn it over, will it start then? More details please.

I hooked up a jump pack, and the motor was turning over but not starting. I introduced a little spray of starting fluid, and the motor turned over once, and now does nothing. almost sounds like the starter engages, and than it just clicks. I almost thought it was vapor locked, but its not.

Is the kill switch off? did you check for spark? is the fuel line clean? there are many things to check for. Im not trying to discourage but is the carb set up properly?

It's all set, I'm thinkin possibly the starter solenoid may just be finicky and after sitting for so long. Maybe just coincidence w/ the starter fluid???
