i have a 1989 banshee and its not getting any fire at all. my friend has the same one so we exchanged the cdi box and coil and i'm still not getting fire. when i bought it there was no shut off switch or key switch. could that be the problem? it just died one day and one cylinder had very little fire then it had no fire at all. does anyone have any suggestions at all? i'm sick of just looking at it sit there.

I would check your stator also.
If you have a fax machine...I can send you a wiring diagram for the banshee...I do not have a scanner

Make sure you didn't burn through a wire on the harness.

Your stator is under the left side engine cover. (shifter side) It is pretty simple to change, but it is a little costly. I believe Rickey Stator sells them for about $100.+

Geez Dale I didn't know that you were still around. Haven't seen you in a while. You ready for the races at Badlands coming up? Dad should have a crank in his by then. Take care.

Sure I'm still here. I may race some of Badlands but mainly for fun I really want to run all of the TQRA races. Providing my quad runs good this year. Hope to hit the dunes around may.

They still don't have a schedule posted for 2001 yet. Said they were having trouble finding someone to organize it.
