Default warrior/raptor

i was just wondering i have an 1990 warrior. Are you abel to swap the warrior motor right in to a raptor 350 frame with no mods and does the raptor 350 cdi unit work with the warrior motor. i have a friend with a raptor 350 roller and i want to buy it if my motor would just drop in

the motor will drop in but the wiring harness is diff on the 90 warrior then the rappy, plus the rappys have revbox's the warrior doesnt they just float the valves lol, there shouldnt be really any mods youll have to get a diff wiring harness and change around your reverse since warriors had them on the right side by your knee and rappys dont, but thats bout all i can think of, rappys have better exhausts and better carbs also.

The motor is a direct drop-in, and keep the Warrior wiring harness, but some of the Warrior components mount differently than the Raptor components and the headlight wiring is a little different. Also the 350 airbox and Warrior airbox is just different enough to be aggrevating. The reverse lever is exactly the same on the 350 and the Warrior.

Yeah, I actually did this swap a while back (see my pics) and it worked perfect. The choke lever is on the handlebars on the Raptor where the choke on the Warrior is on the carb, maybe that messed you up?

no, you don't have to do it at all its built in to the carb, if you look at your carb near the gas shut off. So you dont have to move it at all

Yeah, if you just use the Warrior carb, you can keep the choke at the carb like on the Warrior. The biggest issues will be the airbox. The Warrior airbox will not fit the Raptor frame and the Raptor airbox will not fit the Warrior carb. The best thing to do is to use the Raptor airbox and get a Raptor carb, and use the Warrior engine, but that's not always practical or budget friendly. Also the starter and neutral relays are mounted in a different location, and the CDI was moved from the rear on the warrior to the front on the Raptor. What I did was cut the relay and CDI brackets off of the Warrior frame and welded them onto the Raptor frame, and it worked perfect.
