I broke the bottom bracket off one of my front shocks but it has a hole in it. I was wondering if i can just weld it for a emergency ride. I just dont know about the oil in the shock.

 

All the oil leaked out, right? Mine did that one time and I did the same thing, just welded it back up with no oil. It worked, but it was a boucy ride and that one shock couldn't handle any rough stuff or jumps. I replaced it before the next ride.

 

thanks for the info because its already welded but great to know about the bounce i figured the rebound and dampening would be screwed thanks

 

Yeah, about all the shock will do now is hold the a-arm up.
