Just curious as I also have a new Grizzly 700, how many hours do you have on it and will changing your own oil affect the warranty? I have always used Yamalube on my 06 Rhino and done all my own service work except valve adjustment. I agree with a previous poster to let it warm up good and I let mine sit for a good half hour or so to make sure all of the old oil has completely drained; alway did this with my cars and trucks.

I changed the oil on my Grizzly 450 after a mere 75 or 80 miles after new... then it went in for its first service and the Stealership changed it again... Even with my 2006 Truck.. I changed the oil after the first 1,000 miles...
It DOES NOT affect your warranty..

Thanks, I only have a very few hours on mine to date.
On my Rhino, I was told by the dealer where I bought it that it would not affect my warranty, but when I went to another dealer I was told that since a valve adjustment check was required at the time of the first service, it would. Kind of a moot point on my Rhino as I have never had any problems, just wasn't sure about the Grizzly. Guess I need to read my manual again.

my service manual says to change the oil every 6 months LOL can you believe that? i need to change it now for sure. i have about 60 hours on it, but damn its still clean. opinions? does the atv oil get black like cars do? i check it from time to time. the stealership did all this in may so yeah i am betting it is time to change it again. i ordered the filter online. it was 10 bucks cheaper than the stealership. anyone have anything to say about the valvoline atv oil or pennzoils atv oil? i know they meet the JASCO specification for the wet clutch, but i like to read and hear about results. this 99 big bear hasnt had anything in it but yamalube since it was new.
