And that's also not mentioning that most people do just basic intake/exhaust mods on their quads anyways. Set the jetting once and you're basically done, save for mountain trips or riding in extremely cold conditions.
EFI will come, no doubt, but this 1st generation EFI doesn't impress me. I'm glad KTM and Yamaha are waiting for the better technology to come along.

same here klier. When I had my Mojave I rejetted 1 an never had a problem hot or cold.I had a 2 stroke banshee an nothing comes close to the rip that bike had.Maybe my buddies ultra worked 800 v force or my slightly worked polaris 400 sport. If polaris had put that engine into something that handled well like the predator that woulda been 1 heck of a ****.Cant see why it would never happen for a 4 stroke shee or other wise utility bikes are getting bigger utvs are getting bigger americans want bigger. So I guess if theres a demand there will eventually be a supply.

Im kind of glad they didnt change too much considering i just bought an 08 yfz about a month ago, that would have made me look like an a$$</end quote></div>
As a 2005 Raptor 660 owner, I resent that remark... (700)... haha

I really thought they were going to have EFI on the YFZ. Personally, I don't care if they do or not. I'd rather see a reverse gear, maybe an aluminum frame. I don't understand why they don't put a reverse gear on the yfz, or have a GNCC oriented yfz that has it. That would target more markets than they are currently.

as far as i know, on the lasy week of August Yamaha is going to release the YFZ 450R that comes EFI, Alum. chasis, reverse, 4 valves so lets wait a couple of weeks more to see if thid really is going to happen.

i guess im one of those people who go past a pipe and intake. and the efi is so much cheaper to get power out of. i think the raptor 700 is the cheapest 4-stroke to make power with. you can put 2500-3k into your raptor and make a easy 80hp with no bottle.
