i believe the fram filter is the PH6017 , I've used fram for years. Their filter is as good as anyone elses, as long as u use good oil. what year is your wolverine.</end quote></div>
Screw Fram Oil Filters Actually no, they are not good as anyone elses.. you just have gotten quite lucky... and well so have millions of others.. I just happen to know 2 people that have blown engines (stock engines) due to a Fram filter collasping and choking off the oil supply.. Fram filters are known for this...
I do not use them for that simple reason
Cross reference that crappy Fram to a Wix / MotorCraft / AC Delco or Napa filter

hey steve thats too bad, i've used them for many years, and know many people people who use them. One guy told me that he had another brand filter fail. THe point is I think that happens, and what u don't know certain factories make filters for all those companies u described. Where i live i have a few friends that work at a filter factory, same filters slap on a different name.
I guess i will continue using fram, their easier to get , not a lot cheaper than others, but use what your comfortable with

I use Mobile 1 oil and filter in the Popo and Honda Civic. Fram and Castrol High Milage in the Dodge Ram and Motorcraft and Castrol in the Expedition. I use Parts Unlimited filter in the Yamaha V-star 1100. It has an internal-type filter and is a pain in the a$$ to change. I believe that the K&N part # for the Wolvy is KN-204 (same as an '08 R6) Might try to cross reference it that way. I have used tons of Fram filters and have 100% satisfaction with those also.

Yup, I agree.. same reason I drive a Ford Truck... I have had good personal ownership experiences. So as Ford is my Truck preference, Fram is your filter preference... Heck we can't all be the same now can we ? Nah! I love being unique
