Like Sparta4188 meant it wouldn't hurt to check your compression. It could also be in your carb. Durring the winter(cold) months it starting good because it may be flooding out when it is warm out. Check your air/fuel idle screw for one. I beleive mine is backed out 1 1/2 turns. If this doesn't help it may (carb) just may need to be cleaned thouroghly. Yep;, your right it can be frustrating, check one thing at a time so you will know what helped and what didn't

If it's not that, you could be running too rich. The cold weather leans the engine out and it starts fine. Then the hot weather richens it up and then it's too rich to start properly. Normally an engine that hasn't been cranked for a few days likes a richer mixture, unless it is WAY too rich.

I would check compression first. you can borrow a compression tester from many autopart stores. get it cranked up and warm, shut if off, pull the plug and screw in the tester. hold the throttle wide open and kick it a few times. see what the reading is. then take the tester out and pour in a little bit of oil into the spark plug hole. screw the tester back in and kick it a few more times. if the reading goes up a lot, say going from 90 to 130, then the top end is worn out.

a dirty air filter will choke it down. have you tried a new plug?

i checked compression, it went from a lil over 90 to 110. its not my spark plug its new. when i warmed it up i rode it around and let it idle for a lil. then it jus died. then i checked compression and got those numbers and couldnt get it started again. it wanted like it was close but i jus got tired. i think it might be my carb or air filter? possibly?
