Thats what happened to my blaster. It would go but it would bog like a mother.I thought it was the jetting or something like that but when I took it to the dealer to be fixed it cost me $250 for a new tors system. If thats what the problem is just disconnect the tors.Just test it to see if thats what it is.

My wife's Blaster had the TORS module go bad. The bike would only Idle. Anything over idle and it would stall. I found that you can disconnect the TORS module and it will run, you just don't have the TORS system anymore.THat's the way we ran it till we sold it. The module is under the front plastic by the front brake cables. there are two modules there, just trace up the wiring and you will find which one is for the throttle system.

TORS Stands for Throttle OverRide System and is a series of switches and control modules that are supposed to kill the power to the engine if the throttle sticks open. I have never had this happen to my bike so I dont know what actually happens but the wiring diagrams indicate that the motor should shut down COMPLETELY, The problem that you described sounds more like a park brake rev limiter problem (not sure if its incorperated into the TORS system) there should be a wire coming off of your clutch\park brake lever disconnect this and see if it fixes the problem. Also if you do disconnect the TORS system make sure that you disconnect it from the main module and from the throttle switch. I disconnected mine at my carburators (on a banshee) and it made the problem worse.
