make a raptor go faster
#3
Seriously doubt you could ever get your Raptor to go 120 mph. 90 mph might be more realistic with the Raptor engine, but that's still pushing it. You would need several thousand dollars and: big bore/stroker high compression kit, cam, port and polish, valve job, possibly nitrous, lighten it up as much as possible, lightened flywheel, lock-up clutch, etc..........

it will hit 90 n/p with like a 16 or 17 tooth. 120 i dont know im trying to find a gearing chart. i would think need to be a 20 tooth min. as far as mods to get going that fast not sure what kind of hp you would need. depends how long you got to get going. but it can be done no problem. the best raptor 700 builders are tim barker, rocket factory, kenz cycle and racer edge. they can make you as much hp as you want pretty much. kenz and rocket factory have no problem building you a 100+hp raptor if you got the $. and racers edge can get you 75-80hp for like 3k on a stock bore. tim barker just developed a new cnc machined p&p that has crazy good flow bench numbers but has not built a ton of raptors yeat but is work is top notch.

There is an easy formula for gearing:
____ENGINE RPM____ x Rolling radius of rear tires x .0059
Over all reduction
Random Example: if you had
2:1 primary reduction
1.23:1 fifth gear
2.75:1 final drive
6.765:1 overall
9000rpm/6.765 x 9.5"(approx. rolling radius of 20" tire) x .0059 = 74.56 mph
9000rpm/6.765 x 10.5(22" tire) x .0059 = 82.42mph
