kodiak diff lock problem
#6
ok, if it's blinking then it's not engaging. (which is why the limiter is engaging. The engine won't respond over a certain RPM until it engages) The splines may be stripped on the sliding dif-lock. Does it ever engage? You may need to crack open the differential and take a look, or else take it in. When was the last time you change the fluid?

I just checked mine. I turned on the key and did not start it. I pressed the 4x4 button and it make a noise as the 4x4 engages. I pressed the diff lock button and it makes the same noise. Then I unlocked the diff and turned 4x4 off and it makes the same noise each time. If yours is not making the noise it could suggest something is stuck, and it could suggest that it is not getting power. Could be a bad switch or bad wire or maybe a fuse. I would see about putting a test light on it to see if it is getting power.
