2003 Kodiak 450
#1
I just picked up a 2003 Kodiac 4x4 450 and at first every time I turned the choke off it would stall. I adjusted the idol and it now seems better and does not shut off. The issue now is that i am getting a lot of backfiring. I checked the carb and blew it out, and the spark plug looks good. It seems like the throttle is responsive but something is not right. Anyone got any ideas?

Had similar issue with my 2000. Broke down and spent the money to have the carb rebuilt. Worth every penny! Runs like it came off the showroom floor. They found problems with the float needle leaking and other minor wear and tear.
