it started only in first gear with good traction when you torqued it. it would slip for a split second and then grab creating a loud crack. slowly but surely now its doing it in every gear. any ideas or comments would be much appreciated.

id start with checking your sprokets sounds like they may be worn or cracked and you are slipping the chain. just a thought

I know its not the sprockets their only about five months old and in good shape. The crack sound comes from the motor mainly on the left side i think. I dont think its the transmission because its in every gear. I dont know but could a clutch do anything like that.

no the motor just screams. runs great but its something in the running gear. nothing stupid like bearings in the swing arm and the axle slapping. checked all the simple things.

check your left spark plug... see if it is fouled out

not the plugs the motor runs incredible.

may have to pull the engine apart and check your clutch, clutch basket and springs

not sure if that sound your hearing would be caused by a clutch issue since ive never had that problem on my shee maybe someone else will chime in soon and give you some direction
