Have you actually put a temperature probe in the gas to make sure it is boiling and not just pressure buildup as this has been reported in some others. Check on You Tube as there are some clips along suggested fixes.

Does the 2008 grizzly have a gas boiling problem? Or is this mainly a vapour lock issue?

I've got an 08 Grizzly and I can't complain about it at all. It did seem to run hot but I later found that the coolant was low. Since topping off I have had no issues with heat. The reason your legs get hot is due to the venting on the side panels. For some crazy reason it vent the hot engine air directly onto you legs.

Like I said in my previous posts, I have had no problems with my 08 and from what I have seen on You Tube, other forums and in speaking with the Service Manager, the gas is not "boiling", but some have experienced a venting problem. Any good service department should be able to remedy this. I gladly paid more for my ATV at my dealership due to their excellent service department. I know they will stand behind their products.

It isnt boiling because heat and gas = boom yamaha would have certainly mentioned that if that was the case. Ill try to find a forum i read. It had something to do with the vent in the cap or something. There were parts you could purchase at your auto parts store to fix it. I have an 08 and i have not had any problems with the bubbling. I think 07's had more of a problem then the later models.

I saw one post where a guy replaced the roll over valve and another in which someone did some drilling and one in which a guy recommended putting an in line fuel filter. I am not a physicist, but I cannot imagine the heat it would require to "boil" over five gallons of gas and what would happen if it got to that point.

I am not saying some people have not saying that people are imagining a problem, just maybe misidentifying it and I have had none with my bike.

I have recently noticed a little "off idle stumble", has anyone else had this?

Mine does not have a "reserve", just a fuel indicator on the instrument pod, so when the low fuel warning indicator goes off, you need to find some fuel quick.
