I think you'd like the 08 Yamaha Grizzly. I've heard good things about from the mags I read. But I really think you'd like that power steering. Its a big quad with 4x4 also. It will wear your arms out.

The power steering is one of the major reasons I got the 08 Grizzly 700. I think a couple of other manufacturers have come out with them on 09 and they might be worth looking at also. A mid size bike might be better for some, but for chores around my farm and in the woods, I need a bigger machine.

huntinman,

If you are of average or better strength and fairly young, you may very well not "need" power steering. My sons and son in law all ride ATV's and have no real interest in a power steering and yes, it is something else to crap out on you. So far, I have not read of any reliability complaints, but it has only been out two years. I could have "lived" with the steering on my Polaris Sportsman 700, but there were several other deciding factors. Another consideration for me was that I tend to keep stuff a long time and since I am in my early sixties, I could see the time when I would no longer be able to use a machine without power steering. Cost may also be a consideration as the EPS is quite a bit more expensive. Buying the "right" ATV is always a personal choice and I would certainly encourage you to ride as many as possible before plunking down the money. What is "best" for any of the rest of us, may suck for your purposes. When I was younger I listened to other people as to what was "best" and wound up trading the darned thing back in for what fit me best and always lost money.

Found this video on youtube. Thought you all might find it interesting...

I have a '07 450 and a '05 660. I live in Colorado and ride at 8000-11500' and haven't noticed any issues with heat or boiling. At those elevations in CO, the temps rarely exceed 85 degrees. But I have had both machines less than a year so maybe the problems just haven't popped up yet.
