the book says ride with no more than 50% throttle for 10 hours. then between 10 and 20 hours ride with no more than 75% throttle.

dont putt round on it , i asked thst ? several days ago boutbreakin n a motor & a guy gave me a link to a web site u can check it out , so i asked a mechanic at the shop i deal with & he told me to find a good hill a run up it 3 or 4 times pretty quick and let the motor hold back on the way down , this seats rings good & helps build high compression for the life of the motor

You want to very the speed of the speed of the engine by not keeping it at the same RPM for long periods of time. (going diff speeds) and don't blip the trottle!

What you claim is true to an extent. But raving up and down a hill will do more damage then good. Follow what the book says to do, but be sure to not hold it at the same RPM for a long period. Don't go higher than 3rd gear for at least the first 5-7 hours. Just follow the book or the dealer that sold you the bike's advice. The Yamaha dealer will know what the break in period should be. I know my buddy just picked up a YFZ and I think it was something like that.
