Default Yamaha grizzly 700 front diff problem? help!

i was changing my front breaks and had the front end off the ground. i went to spin the front right and it it hard and clicks inside teh diff like its in 4x4 or something. the left one spins free, it was in park but i don't know why it does that. sometimes it feels like the power steering doesn't want to work and feel rough like its in 4x4.
Is teh diff screwed up already? only 6 months old?
thanks Matt

Pick up a mechanic stethoscope from Harbor Freight tools or Northern tool. It will help isolate the click noise.

Your steering bushing probably needs greasing, that's why the steering is tight. Most 700 riders are replacing the stock bushing with one from OMI Products. It has a grease fitting allowing you to grease the bushing without disassembly. Pics here:

The manual says diff gear is assembled in the factory with special tools ,really cant find anything that describes how it works, how thick are the pads new?

that's the thing i just replaced them and didn't see if it did it before but after the new ones were in i noticed it but their was no pressure eon them (the cylinder was oped and i didn't pump it back up yet so no pad was touching rotor) its in the diff itself.]
it was in park
im going to jack it up and try it now,
ok it does it in every gear. the left one spins free the right one has the click?
idk ill call Yamaha tomorrow, their probably try BS ing me to bring it in. They were nice as hell when i walked in with 10k but now their back to being *** holes.
