what does a flashing red light (reverse light ) mean on the 03 kodiak 450 sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesnt

 

usually when you are in neutral and it does it it is because you are reving the motor and it is telling you not to try to shift because the motor is revved up. It is just an oh $H!T light to make you stop and look normally.

 

I have seen mine flash from trying to engage 4x4, or maybe it was diff lock, while moving.
