05 Kodiak 450 good spark wont start
#1
Well we were out riding on sunday, riding for a while, all was well, stopped for a break everyone shut theirs down i was out messing around a bit then came back and shut mine down. Went to start it up it fired right up then died would not start back up. Towed it home, tried swapping out the cdi from my Grizzly 450 it didnt work put the one from the Kodiak in the Grizzly it worked, eliminated that. Pulled the plug, it had no spark. Check everything turns out a fuse burned out replaced the fuse great spark but will not start for the life of me now. I tried just swapping plugs with the grizz it didnt work. Poured a lil fuel down the spark plug hole still didnt help, it doesnt even try to start, every once in a while it will get like one good sound come out like it wants then it just turns over and over. Tried to pull the carb off to take apart to see if something was messed up in there, half the screws to get into it are stripped. So my two questions are how do i get the screws out of the carb, and what could my prob be. One last thing when i pull the plug back out after tryin to start it it seems flooded, but i figured if it was flooded it would at least try to start. It also backfires out the air intake once in a while if i hold the throttle in.
THanks sorry for the long post

as far as the screw's on the bottom of your carb are concerned you can get those little bugger's of with a pair of vice grip's you may want to replace them with some allen screws for easier access in the future.

Check bolts between the rotor and stator, and there looks to be a shaft key that could be broke along with a spark pulse pickup that could be bad.
